System Requirements

Absolute Content Rotator is a web based application and requires a Microsoft Windows based web server to host the application and a web browser to use it.
This application has been developed using ASP.NET technology.

Requirements
Web server	Absolute Content Rotator has been developed to run exclusively on web sites hosted on Windows based Servers with support for the Microsoft .NET Framework. No other Platforms are supported.
Database	Absolute Content Rotator has been developed to run exclusively with SQL Server 2000 / 2005 or higher databases. If you don't have SQL Server 2000, you can use MSDE 2000 which is a scaled down version of SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Express 2005 both free from Microsoft's web site (please make sure that you have access to this database if you want to use it).
Web Browser	Internet Explorer 7 or FireFox is required for the system administration in order to use the On-Line HTML Editor.

1. Will this application run on a shared web hosting environment?
Yes, as long as the system requirements are met. Please make sure that your site is hosted on a Windows based server with support for ASP.NET and SQL Server.

2. Does this application require any DLLs to be installed on the server?
.NET applications using DLLs can be fully deployed using FTP.
You don't need to access the server in order to register any DLLs.
The whole application can be deployed remotely.

3. How easy is the installation process?
It is very simple and is explained in detail in the user manual.
Basically all you need to do is to unzip and upload some files to the web server (BY FTP) and update the database connection string.

4. Does it support MySQL or Linux?
This application has been developed to run exclusively on Microsoft Windows servers using SQL Server as the database. No other platforms are supported.

5. Does it support Microsoft Access as the database backend?
This application has been developed using .NET technology. This technology has been designed to work specially with SQL Server databases, however this application also supports MSDE and SQL Server Express, which are scaled down versions of SQL Server that come free with the .NET Framework and are much more powerful that Microsoft Access.
