The system can send e-mail notifications to the publishers and administrators everytime that a new video has been submitted so that it can be approved.

Three access levels (NEW V2).

Absolute Video Channel supports three access levels - administrators , publishers and general users. The administrator has complete access over the app, while the publisher has restricted video submission features to his / her assigned categories only and the general user can only access to the front end and submit public videos if allowed.

Make sure that your site is hosted in a Windows Based Server and supports .NET 2.0

Absolute Video Channel is a web based application and therefore requires a web server to operate. It has been developed to run exclusively on web sites hosted on Windows based Servers with support for the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework.

Make sure that your web host has a SQL Server database for you.

The Absolute Video Channel stores its information in a database. This program has been developed to run exclusively with SQL Server 2000 / 2005 or higher databases. If you don't have SQL Server 2000, you can use MSDE 2000 which is a scaled down version of SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server Express 2005 both free from Microsoft's web site.

In order to operate this web application, you will need a web browser. This application works with Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox which are the top browsers of the market.

Absolute Video Channel supports FFMPEG for encoding of videos and automatic thumbnail generation. It is not required, but if you want to use enable those features, the FFMPEG command line tool (included with the software), should be installed in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ folder of your web server.

If you are on a shared hosting you might not be able to use this feature, but again, that does not mean that you cannot use the software. It is an optional feature.
